What materials are used for the pins and plastic insulators?

Our pins are standardly manufactured using high-quality brass or phosphor bronze, known for their excellent balance of electrical conductivity and spring-back tension. For the insulator bodies, we offer PBT, Nylon-6T, Nylon-9T, and LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer). For surface-mount processing (SMT) or reflow ovens, we strictly recommend LCP or Nylon-9T, which withstand temperatures exceeding 260°C without warping.

How does plating thickness affect connector longevity?

Gold plating prevents oxidation and guarantees low contact resistance over time. A thin gold flash (typically 1u") is cost-effective for static connections with few mating cycles.
